Open64 Compiler Framework

Open64

Open64 is a suite of optimizing compiler development tools for Linux Intel Itanium TM systems. The Suite include C, C++, and Fortran90/95 compilers which conform to the IA-64 Linux ABI and API standards.

For developers interested in preparing their applications for Linux/IA-64 prior to the availability of systems, the Open64 Compiler suite is compatible with the Hewlett Packard Native User Environment

CAPSL and Prof. Guang R. Gao

Prof. G.R. Gao has over 20 years of experience in researching and teaching computer architecture and compiler technology. After receiving a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1986), he was on the faculty of the School of Computer Science at McGill University from 1987-1996, where he was the founder and a leader of the Advanced Compiler, Architecture and Parallel System Group (ACAPS). Currently, Prof. Gao is a Full Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Delaware, where he established the Computer Architecture and Parallel System Laboratory (CAPSL)

Over the past five years, Prof. Gao has been involved in research on topics including loop scheduling, software pipelining, register allocation, and other related areas.

CAPSL Open64 Team

The CAPSL Open64 compiler team consists of a group of enthusiastic, skilled, and dedicated compiler researchers (postdocs, students and visiting scientists).
